2024: A Letter of Appreciation from RUDN & Thoughts on Mental Health

October 2024. Received an official Letter of Appreciation from the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy of the Philological Faculty at RUDN University.

For what? For participating in the organization of the V International Scientific and Practical Conference “Commitment to Mental Health Issues”.

This wasn’t a “guest speaker” role. This was the work of a co-organizer at a venue hosted by one of the leading international universities, which has been running this conference for many years. The experience was invaluable: from logistics to immersing myself in the very core of the global discussion on psychological well-being.

But beyond the professional experience, this event made me seriously reflect on a few things.

Listening to scientists, doctors, and psychologists from around the world, I caught myself thinking: you know, Generation Z is actually onto something. Their persistent demand for work-life balance, their attention to mental state, their rejection of toxic overwork culture — it’s not a whim, but a healthy (in the literal sense) reaction to the challenges of our time.

We, the generation raised in the paradigm of “burning out at work,” often look at this with skepticism. But the conference at RUDN showed: there is serious science, data, and genuine care for the individual behind this, not just a trend.

I didn’t draw any grand conclusions—the topic is too profound. But I certainly started thinking. About how we build our companies, how we communicate with our teams, how we treat our own resources.

Turns out, marketing, PR, and mental health are connected much more closely than it seems. Because at the center of it all is still the same person. And their well-being.

Thank you, RUDN, for the trust and for the reason for such important reflection.
